Will you be my Valentine

In honor of Valentines day (and my dads birthday), I thought Id post some of my favorite images that remind me of the holiday filled with lots of pink!  To be honest,  pink has been on my mind a lot lately not because of Valentines Day but because Im working with two different clients who absolutely adore it.  Its opened my eyes and made me dig deep to incorporate just the right amount and shade of pink without going overboard or creating something that screams cotton candy!  S

Remember that commerical from the 90s: I feel like Chicken Tonight, like Chicken Tonight!? I dont know if I ever had the actual Chicken Tonight, but I do often say that I feel like chicken tonight! Theres just a million ways to make chicken, and many of them are quite easy. Do you eat a lot of chicken at your house?

Electrical Tip: Saving Money With the Kill A Watt

These days it seems that nearly everyone is concerned with saving energy, whether it’s over environmental concerns or more commonly, to save money.

One tip that’s usually offered is to unplug devices when they are not in use. This prevents “vampire energy” from leaking out when electronics are plugged in but not in use. The question is, how do you know which ones to unplug? With all of the different devices in the home these days, it could easily take a half hour to get it all done. Without me having to call in my local Brooklyn electrician how can I understand what appliance is wasting the most electricity?

Thankfully there is a little device called the Kill A Watt.
