In an old hardware store in Madrid, the interior designer Rocio Galatas take the house of his dreams and furnished with a connoisseurs taste certainly, but also voted to vintage fusion to a certain style. The pieces chosen because often come from different contexts: the design elements opposed to items bought at the flea market, rustic chairs collide with a minimalist kitchen, modern art sculptures and living with antiques. The impression therefore that given by a mixture of styles and feelings, but they combine to make this truly unique loft apartment.

Finally, people in office environments are accepting the truth about ergonomics: good furniture helps worker efficiency. More and more contract furniture companies are producing great chairs meant to alleviate pressure and height-adjustable desks meant to encourage movement. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same thing about the education market, which seems to be lagging on the ergonomic front. Most school and college classrooms are still full of uncomfortable chairs and desks that do not adjust—as if the world were populated with a race of robots that all weighed and measured the same.

Resident MG Design Idol, Kelly Wearstler, has launched an e-commerce website, and let me tell you, it definitely got my blood flowing this morning! I was not surprised that I loved so, so many things (that blazer is probably my favorite), but I was really pleasantly surprised that there were tons of items under $500, and a good amount even under $200.
